How the films are made

AI production & disclosure.

Generative imagery. Human direction, edit and finish. Afterama is open about how the films are made — here's the whole of it.

What the machine does, and what it doesn't

The imagery in an Afterama film is generated. Everything around it is not: the concept and visual thesis, the script and storyboard you approve, the selection and direction of the six shots, the edit, the sound, the grade, the captions, and your real logo composited in post. A machine can generate; it can't decide. Every film is signed by one person.

What that means for authenticity

Disclosure when you run the film

Platforms increasingly label AI-assisted media. In practice:

Copyright, plainly

The raw generated layer of any AI production is generally not copyrightable on its own. The finished, human-crafted film we deliver is — and on full payment it's assigned to you. The details live on the usage & licensing page.

See it before you believe it.

Two founding films are public: watch them, then read how each was directed.
